Make your Replit app production-ready
Replit's Agent can build and host the whole app in one place. That's convenient until you need to know where your data lives, how to get it out and what happens if the platform has a bad day.

Where Replit apps usually need work before launch
- Secrets in code files or logs instead of Replit Secrets
- A login the Agent built from scratch, without anyone checking how passwords are stored
- Data that lives only inside the Replit project, with no backup outside it
- Experiments in the workspace reaching the deployment users rely on
- No plan for what happens to the app, and its users, if the platform has an outage
How do I make my Replit app production-ready?
Work through these six areas. Tick what's already true: whatever is left open is where real users find problems first.
Tick what's already true of your app.
- 01
Security and secrets
In Replit Keep keys in Replit Secrets rather than in code files, and check none were printed to logs or committed earlier.
- 02
Logins and roles
In Replit If the Agent built its own login, check that passwords are hashed and that every API route checks who is asking.
- 03
Database
In Replit Know where your data lives and how you'd get it out. Keep a backup somewhere outside the Replit project.
- 04
Deploys
In Replit Keep the development workspace separate from the deployment real users reach, so experiments never land on them. The Agent can change more than you asked for, so review its changes before they deploy.
- 05
Monitoring
In Replit Watch the deployment for errors and downtime, and decide in advance what happens if the platform itself goes down.
- 06
AI and usage costs
In Replit Agent usage and your deployment bill are separate from the AI calls your app makes. Put limits on those calls so a loop or a heavy user can't run up the bill.
We run the checklist for you, and go further.
Send us your app, code or idea. A TechTose architect reviews it and you get a written report in 48 hours.

You get the truth, whatever it is.
If your app is in good shape, we'll tell you.
If a small fix is enough, we'll show you how to do it yourself.
If it needs real work, you'll get a fixed-scope plan, with no pressure to buy.
Send us your Replit app.
An app link or repo helps, but it is optional.
A personal reply with an honest view, even if it's 'you don't need us yet.'

How do I get my data out of Replit?
Start with a database export and a copy of any uploaded files, stored somewhere outside the Replit project. If you decide to move, Lift moves the database, users with their existing logins, files, scheduled jobs and domains to infrastructure you control, with a dry run first.
Are Replit Secrets enough to keep my keys safe?
They're the right place for keys, as long as the keys are only used on the server. Check that none are sent to the browser, printed in logs or committed in an earlier version of the code, and rotate any that were.
Do I have to rebuild my Replit app?
Usually not. Most AI-built apps need hardening, not a rewrite. We keep what works and fix what doesn't.
Do I have to move off Replit?
Not necessarily. The Scan report says whether it can stay where it is. If moving is the right call, Lift moves your database, users with their existing logins, files, scheduled jobs and domains to infrastructure you control.
What do you need to start?
Tell us where you are. An app link or repo helps but is optional. Don't send passwords, API keys or customer data; if private access is needed, we arrange it separately.
Is it really free?
Yes. You keep the report either way, and if you don't need us, we'll say so.
Is this a penetration test or certification?
No. It's a production-readiness review of your app's setup, not a certification.
