Make your Cursor-built app production-ready
Cursor writes what you ask for, quickly, in a codebase you already own. What it can't do is decide the architecture or notice the route it never touched. That part is a review.

Where Cursor apps usually need work before launch
- Auth middleware that protects most routes but misses one, or trusts an ID the browser sends
- Hard-coded keys, or a committed .env file still sitting in the Git history
- Large AI-generated changes merged without review, so nobody knows why a piece of code exists
- No tests on the flows that matter: sign-up, payments and permissions
- Database queries that don't filter by the signed-in user
How do I make my Cursor app production-ready?
Work through these six areas. Tick what's already true: whatever is left open is where real users find problems first.
Tick what's already true of your app.
- 01
Security and secrets
In Cursor Search the repository for hard-coded keys, and keep .env files out of Git. A key committed once stays in the history until it's rotated.
- 02
Logins and roles
In Cursor Read the auth code yourself. AI-written middleware can look right and still skip a route or trust a value the browser sends.
- 03
Database
In Cursor Keep migrations in the repository and repeatable, and check that every query is scoped to the signed-in user. A missing filter is how one customer ends up seeing another's data.
- 04
Deploys
In Cursor Review diffs before merging. Small, reviewed changes are far easier to roll back than one large accepted suggestion.
- 05
Monitoring
In Cursor Add error tracking and uptime alerts to production, and log failed logins and payments. Cursor can write the setup; someone still has to watch the alerts.
- 06
AI and usage costs
In Cursor If the app calls AI models, set limits and choose the model per task, not the largest one for everything.

What you get
- Summary: is it ready for real users?
- Findings by area, each rated by severity
- A prioritised fix plan: fix now, fix next, leave alone
- A 30-minute walkthrough of the findings
- Row-level security disabled on user tablesCritical
- API key exposed in frontend codeCritical
- No staging environment before deployHigh
- AI calls have no cost limit or fallbackMedium
You get the truth, whatever it is.
If your app is in good shape, we'll tell you.
If a small fix is enough, we'll show you how to do it yourself.
If it needs real work, you'll get a fixed-scope plan, with no pressure to buy.
Send us your Cursor app.
An app link or repo helps, but it is optional.
A personal reply with an honest view, even if it's 'you don't need us yet.'

How do I review AI-written auth code from Cursor?
List every route and API endpoint, then check that each one confirms on the server who is asking and what they're allowed to see. Look for values taken from the request that decide whose data comes back, and for routes added after the middleware was written. Then test as two different users. Cursor can help build the list; the judgement is a person's.
Does it matter which stack Cursor used?
Not for the Scan. Cursor works in whatever codebase you have, so the review follows the stack you chose, on Supabase, Firebase, Vercel or your own servers, and the report tells you where that stack needs work.
Do I have to rebuild my Cursor app?
Usually not. Most AI-built apps need hardening, not a rewrite. We keep what works and fix what doesn't.
Who owns the code?
You do, from day one.
What do you need to start?
Tell us where you are. An app link or repo helps but is optional. Don't send passwords, API keys or customer data; if private access is needed, we arrange it separately.
Is it really free?
Yes. You keep the report either way, and if you don't need us, we'll say so.
Is this a penetration test or certification?
No. It's a production-readiness review of your app's setup, not a certification.
