Make your Lovable app production-ready
Lovable gets you to a working app quickly. Before real users arrive, check what it decided for you: who can read which rows, where the keys live and what happens when something fails.

Where Lovable apps usually need work before launch
- Row Level Security switched off on some tables, or policies that only check that someone is signed in
- A Supabase service role key or a third-party API key shipped in frontend code
- Payment and email logic that trusts the browser instead of confirming on the server
- One Supabase project doing double duty as development and production
- No error tracking, so failures only surface when a user complains
How do I make my Lovable app production-ready?
Work through these six areas. Tick what's already true: whatever is left open is where real users find problems first.
Tick what's already true of your app.
- 01
Security and secrets
In Lovable Lovable apps usually talk to Supabase straight from the browser. The public anon key is meant to be there; a service role key or a third-party API key is not, and belongs in an Edge Function.
- 02
Logins and roles
In Lovable Supabase Row Level Security policies are what actually protect the data. Check that each one tests the signed-in user, not just that a user is signed in.
- 03
Database
In Lovable A Supabase table without Row Level Security can be read through the API by anyone holding the anon key. Turn it on for every table.
- 04
Deploys
In Lovable Sync the project to GitHub so the code sits in a repository you own, and try risky changes on a copy before publishing.
- 05
Monitoring
In Lovable The preview shows that it works for you. Error tracking shows when it fails for someone else.
- 06
AI and usage costs
In Lovable Lovable credits pay for building. Your Supabase and AI provider bills grow with your users, so put limits on every AI call inside an Edge Function, where nobody can bypass them.

How do I check Supabase Row Level Security in a Lovable app?
Open the project in the Supabase dashboard and look at each table: Row Level Security should be enabled, and each policy should compare the row's owner with the signed-in user, usually through auth.uid(). Then test it: sign in as two different users and try to read each other's data through the app and through the API. The Scan does this for every table and rates anything left open by severity.
Can I export my Lovable code and keep working on it?
Yes. Connect the project to GitHub and the code syncs to a repository you own. From there you, your team or we can keep developing it, with Lovable or without it, and every change can be reviewed before it reaches users.
Do I have to rebuild my Lovable app?
Usually not. Most AI-built apps need hardening, not a rewrite. We keep what works and fix what doesn't.
Do I have to move off Lovable?
Not necessarily. The Scan report says whether it can stay where it is. If moving is the right call, Lift moves your database, users with their existing logins, files, scheduled jobs and domains to infrastructure you control.
What do you need to start?
Tell us where you are. An app link or repo helps but is optional. Don't send passwords, API keys or customer data; if private access is needed, we arrange it separately.
Is it really free?
Yes. You keep the report either way, and if you don't need us, we'll say so.
Is this a penetration test or certification?
No. It's a production-readiness review of your app's setup, not a certification.
